Costa Rica is one of the best places in the world to observe whales and dolphins in their natural habitat. Over 25 species, or a third of all existing cetaceans can be sighted in these waters! Guanacaste has the longest season of humpback whales in the world as they migrate from both the north and the south to mate and breed. Summer-Salt offers a good three-hour whale and dolphin watching tour that can combine coastal and beach exploration, snorkeling, and sunset.
