Playas del Coco Map
Playas del Coco, Guanacaste’s
fishing community and a popular vacation spot for Ticos and
foreign tourists. This is a centre for aquatic activities including
world-class scuba diving, sailing, sport fishing, and also is the
starting point to surfing trips to the world-renowed Witch’s Rock
and Ollie’s Point.
El Coco is the largest of the Papagayo Gulf
communities and has a wide arrange of services including banks,
supermarket, hotels, restaurants, bars, medical centers, immigration
office, port authority, casinos, discotheques, spas, post office,
mechanics, laundries among many other services.
It's a great spot to use as base station, with many posible tours not too far from town. (Canopy, Atv tours, horse riding and golf courses among several other options.)

Also known as the White City for the typical whitewash of its buildings, the provincial capital is historically a sabanero (cowboy) town but has in recent years come to establish itself as a
gateway to the beaches of Guanacaste and the national parks of
northwestern Costa Rica. Although it is a city that is modernizing its
conveniences and services with a growing number of commercial malls,
Liberia still manages to hold onto a small town pace of life with many
charming buildings dating from the colonial period. In the heart of the
city, Calle Real, which leads off from the central square
is one of the town’s most historic roads and a good opportunity for
sightseers to get a taste the Liberia of yesterday.
Tamarindo is the house of surf in Costa Rica. With
plenty of sun and surf, this popular beach town draws the fun-lover.
The town boasts a range of good shopping, dining, accommodation,
nightlife, and entertainment options. There is also a wide selection of
other water sports as well as tours to nearby national parks. Las Baulas
National Park, just north of Tamarindo, is one of the world’s principal
nesting beaches for the highly endangered leatherback turtle.

Playa Hermosa / Playa Panama Map
Located 12km (7.5 miles) up the road north of Coco is Playa Hermosa. A booming residential community,where the
local community association works to manage the growth in a sustainable
way with planning and recycling initiatives. Hermosa is a good
destination for families and boasts a beautiful vegetation-fringed
beach. Further up north lie the calm and secluded waters of Playa
Playa Ocotal Map
just west of Coco and within easy cycling distance are the peaceful
Ocotal (3 km/1.8 miles) and Pez Vela (4 km/2.5 miles) communities. They
have mid to higher range accommodation options from resorts to rental
villas, many of which offer breathtaking ocean views. The pretty
salt-and-pepper sand beaches have public access and great snorkeling
around the rocky stretches.
Playa Potrero Map
in a picturesque bay just a five-minute walk from the more upscale
Playa Flamingo, Potrero is an attractive destination for those looking
to relax in peace and quiet while still being within easy reach of
numerous other first-rate beaches and coastal communities. There are
many places to stay from affordable inns to upscale resorts.
